Choosing a partner

Are you the right development partner for our UK business?

We are a potential fit if you need mobile, web or AI development with a clear delivery plan. Tell us your goals and constraints. We will discuss the approach, proposed team and first-phase outputs before you decide.

Are you based in the UK, and will we work with a UK-only team?

We work with UK businesses, but do not promise a UK-only team. Confirm delivery locations, the contracting business and UK meeting hours during scoping. Tell us early if your procurement requires UK-only delivery or data access.

Can we see relevant work and meet the people delivering our project?

Ask for examples relevant to the product you want to build. We share client details only with permission and can discuss the proposed delivery team. Illustrative designs and stock photos are not client case studies.

Can you take over from our current developer or agency?

Yes, subject to a review of the existing product. We check code, hosting, documentation and access before recommending improvements, a takeover or a rebuild. A transition plan is agreed before changing live systems.

Cost & contracts

How much does a mobile app, website or AI project cost?

The cost depends on what you need to build. Features, design, integrations, data and testing affect the price. We clarify the scope before proposing fees. Your written proposal should explain what is included, excluded and charged separately.

Can you quote in pounds sterling, and is VAT included?

Request a GBP quotation if that is how you need to purchase. The proposal and invoice must state the agreed currency and whether VAT or other taxes apply. Do not assume a price includes VAT unless it says so.

Do you offer a fixed price, and how are scope changes handled?

A fixed price may suit a clearly defined piece of work. For evolving requirements, we discuss a suitable alternative. Changes should be assessed and approved with their effect on cost and timing before the extra work starts.

What other costs should we budget for?

Budget for running costs as well as development. These may include hosting, domains, email, app-store accounts, software licences and paid API or AI usage. We identify relevant third-party costs and account ownership during scoping.

Delivery & communication

How long will the project take, and can you meet our deadline?

We agree a schedule after understanding the scope and dependencies. Tell us about your deadline early. We can discuss a smaller first release where useful; integrations, feedback, content and platform reviews can affect delivery dates.

How will we communicate across UK working hours?

We agree UK working-hour overlap and a communication plan at the start. This includes your main contact, meeting times, review points and channels. Any required response windows should be confirmed in the engagement.

Will we see progress before the final delivery?

Yes—our approach is to review prototypes or working software at agreed milestones. You can see what changed, test important journeys and give feedback before the final handover. The review schedule is agreed for your project.

What do you need from us to avoid delays?

Provide a decision-maker, clear priorities and timely feedback. We will identify content, accounts and approvals needed for each phase. Share sensitive data or credentials only through an agreed secure process, not the public contact form.

Technology & quality

Should we choose native apps, Flutter or React Native?

The best choice depends on the app. Device features, offline use, performance and maintenance all matter. We compare native and cross-platform options against your requirements, and can use a prototype to test important assumptions.

Can you connect our existing systems, CRM or payment provider?

Usually, if the systems provide suitable access and APIs. We check feasibility, provider limits and data ownership before committing. We also plan what happens when an integration fails. Share system names and documentation first, not live credentials.

How do you test quality, accessibility and security?

We agree the checks around your product’s risks and key journeys. These can include code review, automated and manual tests, device coverage and accessibility checks. Independent security tests or formal audits must be separately agreed where needed.

Can you guarantee Google rankings, revenue or app-store approval?

No—those outcomes cannot be guaranteed by development alone. We can improve technical SEO, performance, user journeys and release readiness. Rankings, sales and app-store approval also depend on competitors, customer demand and platform decisions.

Data & ownership

Who owns the source code, designs and accounts?

Ownership and access are agreed in your contract before work starts. This should cover custom code, designs, repositories and business accounts, plus any third-party licences. Handover responsibilities should be clear so you understand how the product can be maintained.

Can we sign an NDA before discussing our idea?

We can discuss an NDA before you share confidential information. The document needs agreement by both parties. For the first enquiry, a general description of the problem is enough; leave out secrets and personal customer data.

How will UK GDPR and customer data be handled?

We agree data responsibilities and safeguards before handling customer data. This includes access, suppliers, retention and any required data processing agreement. Compliance is a shared responsibility; technical development alone does not make a business UK GDPR compliant.

Can our data stay in the UK, and can we avoid supplier lock-in?

Raise UK-only data requirements before we scope the solution. Hosting, backups, support access and connected providers all need review. We also discuss data exports, account ownership and handover to help you avoid unnecessary dependence on one supplier.

Launch & support

What happens after launch if something breaks?

Your support agreement defines how an issue is reported and handled. Agree coverage hours, escalation and response targets before launch. We do not assume 24/7 support; the handover should identify who runs the product and how recovery works.

Are bug fixes and ongoing improvements included?

That depends on the agreed contract and support scope. A defect in an agreed feature is different from a new feature or changed requirement. Confirm any defect period, exclusions, maintenance fees and approval process before development begins.

Will you help with deployment, app stores and handover?

Yes, when included in the project scope. We agree deployment tasks, app-store submissions, account ownership and documentation before release. App-store approval remains the platform’s decision. The handover records what is complete and who operates the product.

What is the best way to start without committing to a large build?

Start with a brief conversation about your goal, users, budget and timing. A focused discovery, prototype or technical review may be the right first step. Its price and outputs should be agreed before paid work starts.
